First of all, Happy Birthday Mike! You are SO amazing, hard working and faithful to our family, we love you. I wanted to fill everyone in our decision we made last week. Raise your hand if you knew there was more than one kind of chemo? I didn't. I thought it was all the same and everyone got really sick. The first oncologist I saw told me there were more than 1 and that he was recommending the "ok" version of chemo (because it didn't spread to my lymph nodes), where you still loose your hair but you don't get so sick. Then Dr. B mentioned the "yucky" version as an option but said either version were acceptable. Then we had one doctor on the mainland recommend the "yucky" version as the way we should go. So, after thinking we were good with the "ok" version we were left very conflicted. In the beginning I was determined not to do the yucky version because of the possible short and long term side effects. But words from doctors kept coming back to me, "we are seeking a cure" and "the time for a cure is now." You see if cancer returns in my breast tissue I can still be cured. However, if the cancer returns somewhere else in my body it cannot be cured. SO after much thought and prayer we have decided to go with the "yucky" version. If it does come back I want to know I did everything I could to get rid of it. We are going with this more aggressive chemo because my cancer is aggressive. We are asking for prayers again, this time without ceasing. What I Know God is good Chemo starts Wednesday am Mike organized our taxes and paid all medical bills while I was at the church retreat I led a craft at my church retreat on protestant prayer beads, so fun http://prayerworksstudio.com/ What I don't know The exact timing of the chemo, initially it will be 4 rounds every 14 days (2 in April 2 in May) What made today normal Happy Birthday Mike!
